Erase Wireframe Dialog

An explanation of fields and properties

Erase Wireframe

This dialog is used to pick and unload wireframe data from memory. This will not remove the file from the project, nor remove the physical file from the disk.

The selection of data within the wireframe object will depend on the default wireframe selection method (to set this, access File | Settings | Wireframing and select an option) if the Erase Wireframes command has been used.

If the Erase Wireframe Link command is in use, your selection method will be temporarily overridden to 'select by link'.

Field Details:

The following fields are available:

Object: if wireframe data is currently selected, the name of the wireframe object is shown in this field. By default, the pick tool is selected, allowing you to click on wireframe data in the Design window. This field is then updated with the last selected wireframe description.

You can select a point on a body of wireframe data, and all triangles with the same LINK value (ie. which were formed in the same linking operation) are highlighted and theObjectdescription will be appended to show the LINK value of the selected point, and the number of triangles sharing that same value (i.e. the number of triangles that will be deleted.

You must then confirm to complete the erasing of this data. This command does not take account of any string data that may be present.
